Pro Bono

When my father suddenly died at a young age, he left my impoverished mother in peril. A firey attorney named Richard Hackel sprang to her aid. Staving off home foreclosure he then dealt simultaneously with a dozen other challengers. Despite his own practice pressures and raising his own family, for years he unselfishly gave of his time, of his talents, and of his resources.

All our discontents about what we want appeared to me to spring from the want of thankfulness for what we have. ...I cannot but recommend to the reflection of those who are apt in their misery to say, 'Is any affliction like mine!' Let them consider how much worse the cases of some people are, and their case might have been, if Providence had thought fit.

While we cannot provide the same level of service as attorneys, AVLawDepot provides the skills, equipment and a unique business model to allow crucial support for lawyers to help win court cases, especially on behalf of those who cannot otherwise afford it. AVLawDepot allows us to venture payback (paid forward) as did Richard Hackel, and as do many other attorneys otherwise unheralded. Together we can positively impact access to justice.

AVLawDepot is a functioning Utah LLC, NAICS code 541199, a paralegal services company, offering advanced electronic support  through official audio-video depositions and transcriptions.
Our laser-focused, Six-Sigma ISO9001-based model is balanced like a fine motorcar, ever streamlined, ever compacted, ever more cost-efficient, which allows us to increase services without raising prices. We strive to establish local offices so you're dealing with a community professional, often a retired lawyer or a paralegal with previous years of service. Looking into someone's eyes helps us keep deliver better goods and keeps costs extremely low. When outside our focus, we also recommend and promote other local businesses who can help you with editing, graphics, and multi-media production, specialized PDF file security or display, and language translations, etc. --and AVLawDepot stays focused on providing more for you for less.

We're unusual in that we combine one-stop shopping for the attorney and associates. And we're really unusual insofar that our services can be obtained in many ways. That opens up a lot of doors for a lot of people. Some of our 'offerings' are truly free or severly discounted for any attorney providing pro bono work; at least 10% of our efforts, time, and resources are earmarked to help those who cannot afford the normally-high costs of professionally-shaped litigation evidence such as found in deposition and transcriptions.

If you feel your work in justice means something important, contact us. We're open.
